From 2007. A personal piece. The creatures perched on the rock behind her have no teeth. They ensnare passing flyers in their jowl-tenticles, then gum them till they bleed- a long process- then suck the blood- an even longer process. She has brought her fathers skull to the peak in the traditional death ritual.

The drawing evolved over a period of months until it finally clicked. The title actually reflects a desire to put a cap on my Medusa obsession... Ink and gouache. 2010.
